Aligned with the school's strategic plan ECOS 2025, the Sports Hub brings together all stakeholders around responsible management and the virtuous impacts of sport and physical activity. The different programmes, with the involvement of the departments, services and student life, bring expertise and added human value to major multidimensional "sports" projects dealing with inclusion, diversity, health or competition.
The triathlon Audencia La Baule is the largest French sporting event organized mainly by students.
Every year since 1985, 24 Audencia students organize the event with passion. Thanks to the perpetual dynamism of its members, the organizing association has received several awards, such as the 3rd student association of France in 2015.
The event welcomes more than 7200 amateur and professional participants - beginners and advanced - in challenges adapted to all ages and all levels. The various and varied race formats allow everyone to find one that suits their level of experience, whether it is for a moment of pleasure with the family, a competition between colleagues or a personal performance attempt. It is this diversity that attracts several thousand spectators to the embankment of La Baule, over several days, to encourage the participants.
A real event challenge, taken up with brio by new students at the beginning of each school year!
With the experience of Hervé Delaunay, Organizer of the Triathlon Audencia La Baule, the triathlon goes a step further and signs a partnership with the Fédération Française de Triathlon (French Federation of Triathlon and Chained Disciplines). The organization now welcomes the best French and international triathletes for the Grand Prix de Triathlon, organized several years in a row in La Baule.
The notoriety of the event goes beyond the borders
In 2022, for the very first time in France, the Audencia - La Baule Triathlon organized and hosted the European Youth Triathlon Championships. The best European triathletes, from 14 to 17 years old, faced each other in La Baule during three days of competitions. A real success that allowed the organization to continue its beautiful European history. In 2023, a new challenge will appear: the finals of the European Cup of Triathlon Clubs. The program includes an Elite final and a Junior final with the best triathletes per club.
Individual and team registrations open in March/April each year: a not-to-be-missed event for triple effort lovers!
The many professional sports clubs or those that provide access to the top level in the Nantes region have always been a source of student-athletes for the Bachelor program of Audencia. An adapted offer now exists for high-level athletes in order to support their educational investment. A system officially launched in September 2022, in partnership with the CREPS Pays de la Loire (Center of resources, expertise and sports performance), where any accredited high-level athlete can be concerned. Today, Audencia Bachelor in Management has 13 high-level athletes in its ranks.
An offer adapted to the requirements of the professional world, promoting the well-being of the student.
Through this partnership, the school and the CREPS (Center of resources, expertise and sports performance) offer an academic path of excellence to high-level athletes with:
Depending on the discipline practiced, some students have training sessions scheduled during school time. They benefit from an "à la carte" schedule adapted to their sport practice and they can even be exempted from certain courses or receive tutored and individualized sessions to catch up on the subjects they were not able to follow.
In addition to the modified timetable, the students concerned will have their internship periods modified according to their needs. Audencia Bachelor provides dedicated resources such as help in finding internships.
A team of 5 people is dedicated to the pedagogical coordination, to create a link with the sports management and the parents, and to do a regular follow-up of the student's success. This organization allows for greater flexibility and faster adaptation to the constraints of each sport, as well as to the academic background of each student.
These adaptations and this follow-up allow athletes to continue their commitment to sports, while benefiting from the academic excellence of our Bachelor in Management and the richness of its associative and student life. This program, accessible via Parcoursup, is designed for all types of sports or artistic profiles, whether they are post-baccalaureate students or students returning to school at the end of their sports career, for example. The adapted curriculum is carried out in class on the City Campus (4 rue Bisson, 44105 Nantes, France).

The values of sport, a response to the missions of the school:
Audencia sports education, by offering varied content adapted to the needs of students, participates in the acquisition of multiple skills for individual development and the construction of social values within a group. Through this acquisition of life skills and know-how, sports becomes a strong vector of personal balance and socialization; thus responding to the main missions of the school as defined in the strategic plan ECOS 2025.
Sport as a trainer of tomorrow's managers:
The creation and facilitation of a learning sequence is an integral part of the course and is a unique feature of teaching sports in schools. The teachers ask all their students to take charge of part of the session. In this way, they develop the qualities that will be essential for their future management functions within companies.
Sports activities taught :
On the one hand, the great classics with rugby, soccer, ultimate, baseball, fitness, badminton, volleyball, basketball, middle-distance running, but also more original activities such as orienteering, mountain biking, bike & run, rowing, golf, hip hop dance or French boxing.
The teaching of sports at Audencia in a few figures :
Throughout the year, Audencia's Sports Office is there to give rhythm to the school's sports life by setting up sports courses in multiple disciplines and organizing various events.
"Sport seeks out fear in order to dominate it, fatigue in order to triumph over it, and difficulty in order to overcome it.
Pierre de Coubertin, founder of the modern Olympic Games.

Triathlon Audencia - La Baule
During the Audencia La Baule Triathlon, alumni have the opportunity to participate in the tri-relais for the general public on Saturday afternoon. 22 teams, each consisting of a runner (5km), a swimmer (500m) and a cyclist (20km), are reserved for them. Audencia faculty members work on various topics and research projects related to sport. This includes work at the macro level, for example a territorial diagnostic study on sport participation and potential barriers to sport participation by citizens in the Pays de la Loire region, conducted by Anna Gerke in collaboration with the think tank Sport & Citoyenneté. There is a body of work at the meso level, i.e. the sport industry as an ecosystem, on value co-creation and innovation strategies published by Anna Gerke in numerous scientific articles. Christophe Germain and Emilios Galariotis have conducted work at the organizational level, studying the balance between commercial, financial and sports performance in professional soccer clubs, and Myriam Mincheneau has studied management control systems in the same context. Finally, at the individual level, Thibaut Bardon studied managers who participate in marathons and how this influences their management style. All these works have been reported in many media. Other work related to ECOS is underway on sustainable business models in the context of sports and responsible sponsorship.
Sports and physical activity for employees are important at Audencia. On the various campuses, Audencia offers weekly sports, yoga, pilates and fitness classes. Audencia offers the possibility to participate in annual sports events such as Odyssea. In addition, employees benefit from registrations to the famous annual triathlon in La Baule, organized by Audencia students. Finally, employees from all departments and professional profiles organize their own sports sessions such as running, cycling or fitness sessions along the Erdre river in Nantes, the Seine river in Paris or through online sessions during their free time. Finally, employees have free access to the school's recently refurbished gym.
